Since its establishment on February 4, 1911, the Mun Lun School has been dedicated to fostering understanding and appreciation of the Chinese culture and language in Hawaii, and ensuring the general welfare of its students and active community members. On March 29, 1972, the Mun Lun School established its Manunakea Street campus with Governor Georfe Ariyoshi present at the school's groundbreaking ceremony.
